Mr. Harris is the CIO for Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), the seventh largest pension trust in America. 

Prior to his arrival at TRS in December 2006, he was CEO for Bridgewater Associates, a privately owned $145 Billion Global Investment Manager specializing in absolute return strategies, global bonds, TIPS, and alpha overlay.

Mr. Harris was also CIO and President for Verizon Investment Management Corp., a $70 Billion corporate pension system known for innovations in diversified institutional investing and sophisticated risk management.
