JAMES DAVISON HUNTER
 
James Davison Hunter is LaBrosse-Levinson Distinguished Professor of Religion, Culture and Social Theory at the University of Virginia. He completed his doctorate at Rutgers University in 1981 and joined the faculty of the University of Virginia in 1983.
Mr. Hunter has written 8 books, edited 3 books, and published a wide range of essays, articles, and reviews all variously concerned with the problem of meaning and moral order in a time of political and cultural change in American life. Most recently, he published The Death of Character: Moral Education in an Age without Good or Evil (2000), Is There A Culture War?A Dialogue on Values and American Public Life, (with Alan Wolfe, 2006) and To Change the World, forthcoming with Oxford University Press in 2010. These works have earned him national recognition and numerous literary awards. In 1988 he received the Distinguished Book Award from the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion for Evangelicalism: The Coming Generation. In 1991 he was the recipient of the Gustavus Myers Award for the Study of Human Rights for Articles of Faith; Articles of Peace. The Los Angeles Times named Mr. Hunter as a finalist for their 1992 Book Prize for Culture Wars: The Struggle to Define America. In 2004, he was appointed by the White House to a six-year term to the National Council of the National Endowment for the Humanities. In 2005, he won the Weaver Prize for Scholarly Letters.
 
Since 1995, Professor Hunter has served as the Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture, a university-based, interdisciplinary research center concerned with understanding contemporary cultural change and its implications for individuals, institutions, and society. Under his direction, the Institute sponsors university-wide colloquia, provides doctoral and post-doctoral research support, holds conferences, fields national surveys of public opinion on the changing political culture of late 20th and early 21st century America, and publishes an award-winning journal, The Hedgehog Review: Critical Reflections on Contemporary Culture.
 
Over the years, his research findings have been presented to audiences on National Public Radio and C-Span, at the National Endowment for the Arts and at dozens of colleges and universities around the country including Columbia, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, and the New School for Social Research. He also has been a consultant to the White House, the Bicentennial Commission for the U.S. Constitution, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and the National Commission on Civic Renewal.
 
 
LUIS PALAU
 
(loo-EES puh-LAOW) and his ministry have shared the Gospel with more than 1 billion people through evangelistic events and media. He has spoken in person to more than 25 million people in 72 countries with more than 1 million registered decisions for Jesus Christ. His radio broadcasts in both English and Spanish are heard by millions more on over 2,600 radio stations in 42 countries. His outstanding and significant contribution to the field of Christian communications was recognized in 2008 with the National Religious Broadcasters William Ward Ayer Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Palau has authored close to 50 books and countless articles on issues of faith, and has counseled with business and political leaders and heads of state around the world. Luis Palau festivals have produced some of the largest audiences ever recorded in cities from south Florida to South America. His ministry also includes the Next Generation Alliance®, created to grow and nurture partner evangelists, and the Livin It® Alliance, which uses action sport ministries, film and video to reach young people for Christ. His latest book, A Friendly Dialogue Between anAtheist and a Christian, quickly became a bestseller in China and released in the United States in February, 2008. Luis and his wife, Pat, live in Portland, Oregon, where they have eleven grandchildren and four sons, three of whom are actively involved with the ministry.
 

BOB SHANK

A native and lifetime resident of Southern California, Bob Shank spent 14 years as a businessman/entrepreneur in the construction industry. At 31, he transitioned from business to ministry and founded Priority Living, a faith-based organization serving business men and women in the marketplace. In 1997, he launched The Master's Program, a leadership mentoring program that has helped thousands of leaders across North America to expose and exploit their unique Kingdom calling. While the CEO of Priority Living since 1984, Bob was also the senior pastor of an Orange County megachurch for four years in the early 90's. He is a frequent speaker for churches, conferences, retreats and leadership training events across the country.
Bob serves on numerous church, ministry and company boards of directors. Among them are Samaritan's Purse, the Foundation for Christian Stewardship, Harvest Christian Fellowship, The Barnabas Group, Reasons to Believe and Priority Living/dba The Master's Program.

Bob and Cheri have been married since 1971 and have two adult daughters, two great sons-in-law and five near-perfect grandchildren. They all make their homes in Orange County, California.


DAVID KIERSZNOWSKI

David Kiersznowski is founder and co-owner (with his bride Demi) of DEMDACO, a wholesale gift company founded in 1997. DEMDACO’s headquarters are in Leawood, Kansas, and their distribution center is in North Kansas City, Missouri. The company has corporate showrooms in Atlanta, Dallas and Chicago.

David has been involved in the gift industry since 1988, and has been involved in the areas of wholesale, direct selling, and Asia sourcing and production. David and Demi lived in Hong Kong from 1991 through 1995, and are the founders and owners of a Hong Kong based buying agency called DD Traders, Inc.

Dave has a Masters of Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg
Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing
Engineering from Boston University. He and his bride Demi have three children and live in Mission Hills, KS.
